It is a universal truth that Android Phones doesn’t age very well. The lag, sluggishness and random hiccups, people with two years old smartphones understand the pain of using a dated Android device. Following are the five simple tricks that will make your old Android phone perform much faster,
Uninstall Unwanted Apps
The first thing you should do is start uninstalling those unwanted apps that you never use. We usually forget how many useless apps we have installed over time. Make a list of all installed apps then start removing the unwanted apps, I am pretty sure you will be surprised by the number.
Monitoring the RAM usage of each app helps a lot. It gives you a rough idea about which apps are using most of the available memory, you can then just restrict those apps from running in the background. Don’t use any of those cleaning apps, it will only drain your battery.
Extract The APK Files
Remember those utility apps you thought you are going to use on daily basis, but have only used them once or twice since the day of install? You need to get rid of them. You can use apps like APK Extractor to extract their installation file. In that way, you can only install them when you actually need them.
Disabling Window and Transition animation not only improves your device performance but it also increases your battery backup. To access animation settings go to Settings > Developer Options.
This may sound like a useless step but trust us, it work like a charm. Close the all running applications and reboot your smartphone twice a day. Once in the morning and once in a mid-day.
We hope you found the above information useful. Stay tuned for the updates.
