Motorola’s next budget smartphone, the Moto G5 is expected to launch at the MWC 2017. After the alleged design renders leaked by one of the case makers, tecnoblog has leaked the technical specifications of the device.
According to the report, Moto G5 will feature a 5-inch full HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of inbuilt storage which is expandable via a microSD card. The phone is also expected to come with 13 MP primary camera, 5 MP secondary camera, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, LTE band support, and a 2800mAh non-removable battery.
There is no news about the Plus variant of the Moto G5. The Moto G5 Plus is expected to feature 5.5-inch FullHD display, Snapdragon 625 chipset, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of inbuilt storage which is expandable via a microSD card, 16 MP primary camera, 5 MP secondary camera, and a 3,080mAh non-removable battery. Both models are expected to run Android Nougat out-of-the-box.
There is nothing to get excited about the new Moto G smartphones. If the above leaks are true then it looks like Lenovo is forgetting the fact that Motorola’s G series smartphones are used to be the king of the budget market.
