LG has sent the press invitation for the unveiling of its upcoming flagship smartphone. The LG G6 is scheduled to announce on 26 February, at MWC 2017. The invitation contains an image and renders of a bezel-less smartphone with the text saying “Big Screen-That Fits”. It looks like LG G6 will feature a nearly bezel-less design, or it could be entirely bezel-less. We are certain about few things here, G6 is going to have minimum possible bezels and a bigger display.
LG is expected to ditch the G5’s modular functionality with its new successor. The LG G6 is expected to feature a unibody metal and glass design. It will presumably come up with 5.7-inch QHD display, Snapdragon 821, 4GB of RAM, and will run Daydream ready Android 7.0 out of the box.
The design renders also shows three parallel lines, which indicate the new G6 could feature some Samsung Galaxy Edge like gestures. With this move, LG has successfully managed to spread the excitement about their new flagship. First with the modular G5 and now with the bezel-less G6, it is interesting to see LG making bold decisions each year with their new flagships. Unfortunately, we have to wait until February 26 to see what LG has to offer this time.
Stay tuned for the updates.
