Secure Folder is officially launched on Samsung Galaxy S7

Secure Folder

A few days ago news break that Samsung is launching an encryption app for the Galaxy smartphones. Today, Samsung has officially released the Secure Folder app for the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge smartphones. Secure Folder app was originally launched with the Galaxy Note 7 and can be seen on Galaxy A series smartphones in some countries.

Secure Folder is a file encryption app that creates a secured location on the phone storage. Users then can store Pictures, Videos, documents or other sorts of sensitive files in this encrypted folder. All the files are encrypted using the Samsung’s own Knox security feature. These encrypted files can only be accessible via entering a passcode or using the fingerprint scanner.

Every Samsung Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge is eligible for Secure Folder app as long as it is running the latest Android 7 Operating System. Users can download the app from the Samsung’s official app store, Galaxy Apps.

Stay tuned for the updates.
