Microsoft has recently revealed the technical specifications of the Project Scorpio. Their collaboration with Digital Foundry covers all the technical aspects of the upcoming gaming console. Microsoft promises the Scorpio is will run every game at 4k 60fps. We got to see the screenshots of ForzaTech demonstration natively running at 4K 60 fps, with only 60–70 percent of GPU utilization.
By this point, it is very clear that the Project Scorpio is the most powerful gaming console ever made. Microsoft’s surprising specs reveal was a nice gesture to their fans. However, Microsoft has left some burning questions left unanswered. The very obvious one is, how much will it cost?
Before we discuss the price let’s take a look at what the Project Scorpio has to offer,
|CPU||2.3GHz 8-core AMD custom Scorpio Engine CPU|
|GPU||Integrated AMD graphics with 6 teraflops of performance|
|Optical Drive||4K/HDR Blu-ray drive|
Microsoft has always referred to Project Scorpio as a premium device. Which means it will definitely be pricier than the Xbox One S. Considering how much power the Scorpio has got, we can’t see Project Scorpio priced any lower than $500. Our estimation is $599.
What are your thoughts and more importantly how much are you willing to pay for this new console?
Stay tuned for the updates.
