Earlier this month, HMD Global announced the partnership with Zeiss optics. Confirming the return of iconic Carl Zeiss lenses to the new Nokia smartphones. According to recent reports, HMD Global will be launching a new high-end smartphone with the dual camera feature. The new smartphone will be presumably called as the Nokia 8.
It is reported that the Nokia 8 will feature two 13 megapixels rear cameras equipped with Carl Zeiss optics. Apart from the new dual camera feature, the smartphone is also expected to come with the 2560 x 1440 pixels 5.3 –inch display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, 4GB/6GB of RAM, 64 GB of internal memory and dual sim compatibility. It will be powered by the stock Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) operating system.
The specifications and the inclusion of the modern hardware suggest it will be company’s high-end smartphone. It will compete directly the with One Plus 5 and other flagship smartphones. The Nokia 8 will reportedly come in Blue, Silver, and Gold variants. There is no news regarding the pricing of the smartphone but considering specifications it is safe to say that it will cost around $400-$600. More details will be revealed once HMD Global officially launches the smartphone on July 31st.
