Sony has unveiled the date for the upcoming PlayStation Network maintenance cycle. The servers will undergo maintenance procedure for around 30 minutes on August 15th. It will affect PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and the other PSN related websites.
Sony has confirmed during the maintenance period the existed PSN users can log in and enjoy playing games without any issues. Only the PlayStation Store, PlayStation Video, and the Account Management services will be down during the maintenance cycle. Although we don’t know the exact reason behind this scheduled maintenance we can assume it just for the minor performance bumps.
Sony has released the official statement on their blog saying, “We apologise for any inconvenience. We strive to ensure that PlayStation Network services are available at all times, but occasionally we must take PlayStation Network offline to perform essential maintenance and implement feature enhancements. We are working hard to reduce the duration of each maintenance.”
Stay tuned for the updates.
